Demon On The Loose (Slightly Revised)

by Chelsea   Aug 12, 2007

Whispers of immortal hate
tales of everlasting love
the embrace of mortal sin
emotions like a flood

dead raindrops hit the ground
darkness shrouds the air
sulking shadows dance
luring the unaware

my soul has left me
wicked men surround
my body an f'ing sacrifice
for hell's demon hounds

ghosts haunt my steps
victims of my own hand
slaughtered in their sleep
bodies scattered in the sand

scars of fate and destiny
are dug into my chest
a deadly reminder
of my tortured past

laments of hatred
follow me throughout
a keening cry of sorrow
a world of lies and doubt

i soon shall meet my death
and accept it with grace if i so choose
fight or flee i do not care
im a demon on the loose...

*this is my first attempt at a dark and more paranormal poem, so comments would be very appreciated. i want to know what people think of it.
thanks!*
