Just Another Corporate Face

(Step right up, ladies and gentlemen,
let's see if you have what it takes.
But I'll have you know:
if it felt like this I'd take it all back
because I don't want anything to be easy.)
One step up, now please step down.
No, you don't look right for the job.
Look at me, let's see what you've got;
an acid tongue in a pretty cheek.
Turn this way and that, now fly away.
You don't belong here, dear.
(But what a pretty girl).
Clack your heels, close your eyes,
there's no place like home but:
if it felt like this she'd take it all back,
because she doesn't want it to be this easy.
Just bat your eyes and pucker your mouth,
and just a little to the left for me, please.
Strike a pose and wait for the verdict,
but don't let them earn your trust, dear.
You're everything they'll never be.
Let the shutter click but you call the shots.
And give us something we won't forget.
But if it felt like that you'd take it all back,
because you shouldn't want it to be that easy.
Now take those pearls and hang them up for good.
Sweetie, you may think you're important now,
but you're just another pretty face.
And you're not fooling anyone.
