Nonreturnable Path

by Kath Em   Aug 13, 2007

Walking down the aisle
the bride with her stunning gown.
Side by side with her dad
and never going back.

Getting closer to her end
Clutching the bouquet with all her strength
A quick glance to the groom
"Oh my god, I wish this would end soon"

A few steps from her death
her father leaves her side
whispering "I'm proud of you"
showing her the nonreturnable path.

He takes her hand
and a smirk crossed his face.
Knowing what will happen,
she lowers her head,
and wishes she was someone else.

A forced "I do" and a tear shed.
No one will ever know,
that the bride just dug her grave.
