Over the stone edge

by Kath Em   Aug 13, 2007

Through this veil
I see your pale skin
Resting peacefully
Over the stone edge.

Your hands are entwined
Your eyes are closed
And a dim ray of light
makes the sky shine above.

A faded smile
lies gently upon your lips
And a light breeze
stroke every inch of your hair.

A thousand spears
pierce my worn-out soul
as the coffin door
is finally closed.

Every one is gone
I'm the last one to go.
As I lift my veil up
to face the brightness of the sun,
reality hits me with device.

Its only then, when I realize
We never had a chance to say goodbye
And all the things we left behind,
only makes harder to live the life
I was suppose to before you die.

To end this pain I'm going through,
the only thing I've left to do
Is end my life to be with you.
