My side of the story...

It all started just as bit fun,
A bit of messing around.
I wasn't supposed to get serious,
Because I knew you were on the rebound.

Truly I knew you never loved me,
and it was something never to be.
I just liked the attention, the care and affection,
The way you looked after me.

You, being by my side when i needed you,
You, sticking up for me,
All them little praise you gave me,
The way you believed in me.

Even though every second,
I spent with you got me closer to you.
Before I knew it I was,
Madly in love with you.

You were so thoughtful,
Caring and kind.
With you I found my deepest desire,
something that was otherwise hard to find.

I can't believe you changed so much,
You lied to me, you cheated on me.
That wasn't something I expected,
From a spirit so free.

I know it wasn't your fault that,
It didn't work out for us kenie.
But you could've handled it better,
We could have stayed friends like many.

You running away from the situation,
may have helped in the short term.
