Short But Sweet

by Aaron Deevers   Aug 14, 2007

Can you believe it
Finally we met once again
It's seemed so long ago
But yet it has only been 10 years

I have see a lot
Yet I have not seen enough
I'm not mad
Just sad not seeing my family
I know one day I will see them again

I know it was my time
My time to continue my journey
Journey to another life

Thank you for how you brought me into this world
And also how you made each day a special one
I thank you for the family you gave me
I know I spent 10 years with them
But it was the best 10 ever

I know that I can sit in your lap
Sit there and watch my friends and family
Seeing them from high above
Seeing that they've move on
Continuing their great lives

Thank you for everything
From each person I met
To each one I left
Thank you

I agree with the title...it is really sweet...
    it's not that short, though...=)
i have only one small question:
in the second stanza, don't you mean:
"i have seen a lot" instead of "i have see"?
besides it, the poem is awesome...

Nicely done poem. i like how it was grateful yet sad. that gave it a less cliche fact. normally depressing cliche poems bother me because they are just to flat out cliche. but this wasnt. there was more to it. =] you said you thinking voting reflects the emotion you put into it. according to that i give it a 5. =]
