Diluted

by Michael D Nalley   Aug 14, 2007

Have you ever felt truth is diluted?
While living in a world that's polluted?
With much propaganda and political lies
Where the authorities must wear a disguise

Dear lord, you came to teach us to pray
Everybody has something different to say
All our sins placed on a man to be executed
His followers would be scorned and persecuted

Seek the sacred Truth and you shall find
Divinity has risen, heart, soul, and mind
A soldier of Christ is seldom saluted
Where truth is not sought, and so diluted

This was again a wonderful poem. I personally, am not a religious person, but I found this to be quite beautiful and full of meaning. 5/5

Verily, this was such an insightful poem -- profoundly provocative and truthful. I liked how you portrayed the general idea with the following couplet:

"Seek the sacred Truth and you shall find
Divinity has risen, heart, soul, and mind"

It even seems to me to be a Biblical allusion of Matthew 7:7-8. Very nice piece.

Im not religious but this poem is structured in a logical way. And I like it.

"Everybody was something different to say"
"was" is that mean't to be "has"???

Anyway Michael I find many of your discussion post humourous so I find it strange I have not checked out your poems earlier
