(this is one of my very first poems..
please bear with me.. i'm still new at this..
i have no experience and not much talent..)

she's afraid of the world
and trembles with fear.
yet she does not admit it,
and just holds herself near

they know not why she trembles
and neither does she.
the problems within her
she refuses to see

she hides all her life
so she lives on her own;
she seeks to be known
in her life all alone

she can no longer take it
she can't stand all the pain.
lies to them and herself
it drives her insane

she falls where she stands
no longer to rise;
she's lost strength to continue
and lets the ground hear her cries

the ground opens up
and swallows her whole,
but to her an embrace
that fills up her soul

then all of time stops
in a world of her own,
with the earth she's at peace
she's no longer alone.
