In My Anger I Made A Vow

by Jenni Marie   Aug 14, 2007

Tears have now given way to rage
Look in my eyes, you'll see spite
Seems I'm succumbing to revenge
For I'm now tired of lonely nights.

Cruelty, it seems is your specialty
Wondering if you're made of human parts
For it appears that you get of on hurt
Come to the conclusion you have no heart.

Didn't want to sink your level
Now you've left me with no choice
May have seemed weak, helpless to you
But now you're going to hear my voice.

For once hurt vanished, only anger was left
Tried not to dwell, but it grows each day
Wondering how you managed to take me in
For every line you used on me was cliche.

Rage is slowly eating away at my heart
Beginning to destroy, devour my soul
So now it's time for you to hurt
Form now on I'll be the one in control.

Giving into these vengeful desires
For a long time I didn't know how
Now promising that you'll pay
For in my anger I made a vow.

    I absolutely loved that poem.
I'll be honest there were some parts i was confused.. like when you say
"cruelty, it seems is your speciality
wondering if your made of human parts
for it appears that you get of on hurt
come to the conclusion you have to heart"
^^That did kind of confuse me..
and also I dont know what the word "succumbing" is??

But besides that it was a wonderful poem, filled with alot of emotion and alot of stuff people can strongly relate to.
    keep it up.
