Mother of Stars

by Alyssa Friday   Aug 14, 2007

A veil of stars twined within her hair,
a smile that drew the oceans waves,
she sweetly posed in soft navy sky
and cradled the moon in gentle arms.
The Moon Lady never thought to leave
her cosmically omnicient throne.
She wove a tune of hearts and planets;
the gentle wind carried it aloft
into the quietly sleeping world.
