Endless Down Pour

by ben thompson   Aug 14, 2007

Dark constant down pour, will it ever cease.
Its beat me down so long, I need some relief.

Heavy rains flood, no indication it will stop.
At desolations black door without even a mop.

How was I to know what my future would hold.
Age young in years, but mirror reveals I'm old.

I open my curtains, wishing for a glimmer of sun.
Cursed clouds return causing fair weather to run.

Lord knows I love every breath that I'm given.
How much can I endure and still go on livin.

Waters rise, burdens increase as I begin to drown.
Then I see my little angel sleeping oh so sound.

Steel resolve returns no longer am I on my back.
I'll take a boat to better times and get back on track.

Constructed of faith built on hope and peace.
I sail for better weather, breeze leads me east.

Searching for the savior's sign of his luminous love.
Horizon reveals a rainbow adorned by a single dove.

Awesome piece. Very sad but full of hope. Imagery is fantastic.

Waters rise, burdens increase as I begin to drown.
Then I see my little angel sleeping oh so sound.

I have 3 little angels that have saved me so many times.
    Excellent job!
    Love Cindy
