Her Mirror in Life

by Taylor   Aug 15, 2007

Why can't they tell?
Why can't they see?
Can't they see the ugly girl staring back at me?

"What did I do", I ask myself," to deserve these lies?"
I look in the mirror and she is always there.
Staring at me with her light blue eyes and redish blonde hair.

She has so many flaws,
From her sunburned cheeks, to her zit filled face.
Her life feels like it has no meaning, her life only has one base.

Jesus is her base and stronghold.
But she still feels as though she wants to just die.
Because of that guy.

I'm not sure why, but the girl is always staring at me.
She is ugly, she is fat.
I hope she knows she's not even close to all that.

One day I come back to the mirror.
I can see her bones and skin sagging off of her.
I can tell I am the reason for sure.

I look at her in disgust because she is still so ugly and fat.
I hope she realizes what she lacks.
All the scratches on her legs that she covers up with slacks.

I come back to the mirror.
And this time I don't see her.
She must have realized that she was ugly for sure.

I go away thankful,
That she is gone.
Now her life won't be drawn on.
