Forgive them

by Noelle Wright   Aug 15, 2007

As I stare out the window and concentrate to long
The bars slowly disappear from where they all belong

I see a little grass the sky and some sun
It's just a shame I must die for nothing I have done

I hear the man walking coming down the cell
He's coming to aware me I"m going to leave this hell

Walking down the block but going very slow
The prisoners all look at me they already know
That watching me walk away will be their last show

Their eyes full of sorrow their hearts of sympathy
At least some of them see innocents in me

Each time I take a step I hear the chains clicker
Just an awful reminder of Father times ticker

I sit in the chair and gaze upon the crowd
This is what they wanted hope their very proud

I see black and hear whispers as they wet the sponge
This is where all goes down my lifes last plunge

Roll on one from the back someone shouts
A tear rolls down my face my lower lip pouts

I speak one last time
As I hear Roll on two
"Forgive them father for they no not what they do"
