A Dozen Roses

by LovelyDivine   Aug 15, 2007

Our love is like a dozen roses
Eleven real and one fake.
Eleven slowly fading away
One lasting forever.
Our love is like that one rose
Lasting forever, never fading
Growing stronger everyday.
Everytime I think of us
I think of one dozen roses
And a note saying,"I will love you
Till the last rose withers away."

The last line was perfect. And what was unexpected was the eleven roses fading away, I'm used to hearing how each one goes in the ways that someone loves another. Good twist.

I don't like the ending. I like the idea of this poem, it is short but powerful. First two lines are incredible. 5/5
