Hello Goodbye

"Hello there, how are you?" you greeted me so bright:
After so much heartache in my life, I thought you'd make things right.
"I'm wonderful, thank you, now that I've met you."
Oh only if that statement could have stayed so true.

The relationship bloomed like a summer's day flower,
Then out of nowhere it turned so sour.
A few months it lasted, if I'm counting correct,
You left me more broken than before; utterly imperfect.

Despite how much you hurt me, despite my tears,
I have to move on and get over all these fears.
I'm a bigger and better person than you shall ever be,
So thank you, my darling, for letting my eyes see.

I said hello so easily, welcomed with open arms,
Instantly I was absorbed and taken in by your charms.
Yet this pairing was a nightmare, it only made me cry,
So now I zip up that chapter of life and I say goodbye.

    Oh my gosh... this was such a beautiful poem, the title alone captured my interest and I just had to see what it was all about! You did such an amazing job with this poem and I enjoyed reading every single line of it. In some ways, I can relate to it.. I feel sort of connected to it. When I was reading it I thought of my ex-boyfriend Tim who broke my heart a few years ago.

    Not only was the poem beautiful, but you kept it so neat and organized! It looks so professional.. a lot of people these days don't even use comma's and periods, don't even capitalize the beginning of each line. Great job!! Please keep up the awesome work! I look forward to reading other wonderful creations from you soon... 5/5 <3 <3 <3 <3

    LoveloveLOVE it! This is amazing, the wording and imagery go so well together, you have a way of writing to captivate the reader and keep them wanting to read more, that is a talent you should be aware that you have...and I sure hope you believe those words..

    ^ Those lines were AMAZING. As was the whole piece, but if I was to copy out every line I liked of it then you`d just be reading your poem lol. :]

    Great poem. Very heartfelt and meaningful. I loved your choice of words and it was beautifully written. I like how you started off the poem with a narration; that really draws the reader in. I also like how the first word is "Hello" and the last word is "goodbye", which matches the title. Good Job.
