My badge of honor

by megann anne   Aug 15, 2007

INTRO~~
----listen love, you don't own me
I am not a piece of property and I am not going to let you walk all over me. did you really think i was that blind? i can see you using me. no, I'm not stupid...not anymore.-----

I fasten my seatbelt for a wild fight
I fell to your fist later that night

I wear my bruises as a badge of honor
you cant hurt me anymore, conner..

my scars remind me to never go back there
my bruises tell me not to ever care

your tightening grip leaves prints on my wrist
your controlling personality is not just the gist

you are possessive. but you don't posses me.
your are a perfectionist, but you cant make me be.

my whimpering conscience, is never at ease
telling you to let go, begging you please

but my life is no longer all about you
i wont suffer under that you glare you subconscienceously do.

but now I am free.
I'm becoming who i want to be.
