THE DRUNKEN BUM

by peter   Aug 15, 2007

Born to live, to age, to die,
Born to aspire to caress to watch the world go by,
The dawn sheds light, but my eyes are blind,
Vision lost in the mire of time,
Desert storms confuse my mind,
Lost in thought, lost in time,
Friends are near but not close by,
Confused, depressed, my feelings rye,
Words spoken, but my tears run dry,
Numb with pain, my heart is drained,
Am I insane?
God release me; free me, from these chains,
I'm encaged raged time ticks,
But the world stands by,
Fallen hero's I hear you cry,
The bell rings, last orders are cried,
"Just the drink"
The barman replies,

    Thanks girl

For giving your thoughts, i was begining to think that i have got it badly wrong, Althought it's quite deep, i twisted the end and thought that the point was put over quite well?......
This has been submitted for a competition, Nothing special, you had to choose a sentence and build it in-never entered anything before, Don't suppose that it will get anywhere; "But" its a bit of fun,

    Best Regards
