Thoughts of memories

by Tracy D Rollings   Aug 16, 2007

He sits in a corner wanting to write
cold and dusty with little light
his hands are trembling mind is weak
needs it on paper no voice can't speak
searching for memories nothing he'll find
all fated away forever lost in time
tears fall down not able to think
paper wrinkled pen has no ink
his world has ended nothing left
dying last words of a poet himself.

Thoughts that pass through my mind when I can't think of anything to write..©2007 Tracydr42

"dying last words of a poet himself."

Love it, That last line made an impact on me. I wish when im sitting twindeling my thumbs i could come up with something like this. I loved it, i think its such a great little poem and sums up the reasons why people write, it can be an escape. Such a great poem.

This poem is wonderfully written. Atmosphere that you created with just a few words is a incredible. This piece is very emotional and you put this one in a right category. Very unique poem with a great topic. Short but very powerful, it deserves 5/5
