Pound my head against the wall

by resisting reason   Aug 16, 2007

I bash my head into the wall
trying to forget everything
with every hit
my ears ring
and it hurts
and the pain is not worth
the momentary gain
but nonetheless, i bash harder, harder, and harder still
i bash and bash and bash until
it bleeds and blood blurs my vision
as i release it from its fleshy prison
and now I'm blind with pain
but still i pound my head into the wall
trying to forget it all
but i cant
they wont go away, they wont back down
though i scream and shout "get out get out"
i still remember my mistakes and flaws,
your beautiful face, i remember them all
but no, i don't want to know
i cant pay the price
you were my paradise
i begged you not to go
i miss you so
id rather forget than regret
the loss of it all
so i bash my head against the wall
