The adventure to win your heart back

by damont   Aug 16, 2007

A heart surrounded by an iron bar
fire inside seemed so far
close to the bars there is no ground
i use to be able to enter and walk around
i took for granted that freedom
now all i want is to be told is welcome
locked up by chains and a master lock
i tried to enter but couldn't because it was locked
now i fight to pass these barriers set up for my demise
somethings are easy to pass others are just lies
weary and doubtful i continue on
i reached the fire which i caused to burn
a last resort if all others failed
to hurt and i wanted to bail
ran through the fire with a chance of death
came out alive but badly burned trying to catch my breath
stayed there healing my wounds won your heart back
but it ended to soon
crashed by the blizzard of a sand dune
but i know if i get another chance with you
no fire,no bar,no sand dune can stop me from being consumed
by your love
