Well written Letty, I too feel the weight of the World on my shoulders sometimes. We keep striving on, day after day, glancing back at our mistakes, because we do not want to drown. So we become stronger through Life's trials and errors.

I now appreciate your praise even more with regards to my own use of imagery, you relate your feelings of helplessness and despair very purposefully and eloquent in this piece... the vision of looking back at the finish line and of drowning with the weight of the world upon you, it's very vivid.
