The birds the bees squirrels and nuts
foxes and badgers have run out of luck
how i would like to live like a bear
sleeping for six months of the year
or even as gracefully as a swan
but I'm a human, what did i do wrong
but if there was something I'd like to be
is that gorgeous mammal that lives in the sea
a dolphin with a voice of an aquatic angel
what a free life i think i could handle
as long as i dint get caught in a fisherman's net
but with my luck it would happen, i bet
swimming around from coast to coast
people happy who have seen me the most
so now i want to live in my pod
and leave this human life I've got
so i guess on my dying days
I'll squeeze my eyes shut and dream of the waves.
