Mans Best Friend (happy ending)

by sezz   Aug 16, 2007

One day they came and took me
Away from you, the pain
Now I live with someone else
They gave me a new name

They treat me like I'm special
They give me food each day
I get to sleep inside now
They let me get my way

They never raise a hand at me
I feel welcome all the time
I love the house I live in
It really feels like mine

It has a pool out the back
Big enough for me to swim
The children like to play with me
I sometimes let them win

Whenever i lay down, sad
The children crowd around
They give me pats and cuddles
In them its love I found

I have everything I need right here
I'll live to a old age
My life with you is over
I guess I passed through that stage

I finally know what it's like to love
My wounds can now mend
I've finally found my happiness
I'm once again, Mans Best Friend
