I long to hold you in my arms once more.
I long to take a long walk with you by the shore.
I long to see your face again, to look into those handsome brown eyes and tell you I still love you.
I long to turn back time and make you mine once more.
I long to see you again and tell you you are the only one my heart wants to love and adore.
I long to make more memories with you.
Now the minutes seem like hours, the days feel as if they are years.
As I type this poem to you my eyes are starting to well up with tears.
My heart is aching to be loved by you once more.
I love you and I need you, of that I'm sure.
It's so hard to let go of a love that was so beautiful, so pure.
I wish we didn't have to say our goodbyes.
Now I have to hide my tears and force a smile as a disguise.
