Closing my eyes I imagine a place where reality knows nought of any existence
A dreaming word awakens where the boundaries of pain know nought of resistance
Snow falls gently landing sweetly with the unspoken promise of a perfect year
No sun with its harsh light shall shine cold truth on me, reality has no place here
Belief shall banish the soft stars of sorrow that threaten to fall from sad skies
Broken hearts will never have known pain in this world where its reality that lies
Souls will need to find no other half to be complete; there shall be no hurt or fear
Roses with all their beauty shall bear no thorns; reality has no rightful place here
Knowing nothing of the hurt that has caused me thus far to hide myself in shadow
I would live in this place where rose petals fall from the sky with a soft reverie glow
In this world I will not have to tolerate any shooting darts of realism; no rain will fall
If I could I’d live in this world of dreaming where reality has no place, no none at all
