The Lighthouse

My hope is everlasting,
my truth shan't ever fade...
A wisp of talk with Destiny
and then I speak with fate...
It seems we just weren't meant to be
and that you never will love me...
I have been told, "Don't interfere..."
I know I'm not alone right here.

So many people stand alone,
and soon, they'll have someone to love.
And Fate says I will meet the one,
but not right now.
The One will come.

You're out there somewhere...
Doing something...
Wishing on a star.
Thinking who belongs with you
-- I don't know who you are.
But someday our lives will combine
and with our souls we'll intertwine...
We'll melt away in ecstacy...
I know: For it is destiny.

Until that day; Until that night.
Forever I will house a light...
being the beacon for all who are lost
in the night, I will shine
and my light won't go off.
You can count on me and trust me,
you can hold me close; I'll stay.
Just follow my light and I can assure you
off the right path you'll never stray.

And sitting, wishing on a star
somewhere out there -- both near and far
is somebody who wait's for me
-- Who knows not that it's me.
