Something

Something's missing,
A hollowness resides
In the depth of my soul.

An aching loss,
Or something yet to be found.
I'm trying to understand.

Searching through life,
While living it fully
May attract the missing piece.

Searching may lead
To morepain and suffering,
Or exquisite joy.

I only know
That not looking
Will mean death.
