Dreaming of you Tonight

by Alissa   Aug 17, 2007

A sensation of life falls,
heavy on my tired eyelids.
Disturbing my sight of day,
and halting the taste of reality.

I slowly lose all thoughts,
as my mind finally rests.
Lost all worries and wonders,
as my dreams replace for awhile.

Just as every sadness leaves me,
he walks into my world.
No, not my world;
but the world of my dreams.

Where sweet music follows my ears,
and the sun always shines.
Where sadness is nonexistent,
and happiness is king.

He walks in smiling on the inside,
making himself glow.
Seemingly like an angel sent down,
down to save me.

In this wondrous dream,
he whispers the kisses in my ears,
and holds me with his thoughts.
As if unable to touch me.

Yet everything seems better,
seems unexpected even though,
I've heard every word, thought every idea.
But yet, he creates a raw sensation.

He sends me the rain,
when my mouth goes dry.
He grows me a garden,
saying each flower is love.

Yet the rain is the tears he sheds,
and the garden is wilted.
But he never fails,
to place that smile on my face.

For a wilted rose may lack beauty,
but it will stay forever.
Unlike a ripe red rose which defines beauty,
will die in such short time.

He is what my heart wants,
as if it only beats for him.
Yet he survives in my dreams,
and only my dreams.

But yet the dream seems to last,
from days, to years.
And I lay here,
holding my wilted rose.

And I whisper kisses more and more,
and hold him with my thoughts.
For a dream is what your heart makes,
when you're fast asleep.

Wow, a very beautifuly created a great poem that shows you are a great talented poet,

i love every word of it, but the best part is
Just as every sadness leaves me,
    he walks into my world.
    No, not my world;
but the world of my dreams.

i love the way you answered yourself by a no that im sure we as true lovers dont want it to be a NO, but all we end up is with our world, the world of dreams, so creative dear.

    you deserve a 5/5
