meaning of life
As I stare into the distance and watch the waves follow each other, one after another for as far as the eye can see, I wonder what it is about the ocean that intrigues the soul. The ocean is mysterious, endless and beautiful. Every soul is intrigued by it in a different way. But as I watch a boat slowly slip into the darkness I realize why the ocean is drawn to our souls. It is so much like life, that we have to be drawn to it. The vast ocean stretches for miles and miles on end, seeming to end nowhere. The deep truth is that it does, and it is this that gets people confused. Everyone knows it ends somewhere down the way, but many like to deny this, and believe that it goes on forever, that it is everlasting. The truth is that it ends, it is the cold, and bitter truth for some, but it is reality. Some go and decide to search for it, taking risks along the way, and maybe finding it unexpectedly. There's the lost few who decide to find it right away, they go in haste, and it all ends to fast, lost in confusion they find the end of the ocean. What one needs to realize is that the ocean is full of mystery, and that there is always something new, something different. To go and find everything in the depths is pointless though, and one who thinks that they can find all there is to find is one with over competence and greed. There is also those who think its pointless to adventure the great mysteries at bay, and lose sight of what is at sea. What needs to be done, is that one should be happy with what they find, and search for what intrigues them the most in the water. Sometimes the water can get murky, or choppy, but if you keep searching, then may find what you are looking for. If you don't appreciate the raft your on, then you will get lost at sea, and drift...drift along. Along the way many fall overboard, and there are dangerous currents that tug and pull you down beneath the surface. Yet if you can keep your head above water, then you will be able to overcome those currents and find your way back to the safety of your raft. |
