Night Prowlers

by GretaInsideOut   Aug 17, 2007

Night prowlers of this town,
Have all and nothing to hide,
Night prowlers of this town,
Have no tears to cry.

Scamp along the old train tracks,
To find the perfect place.
Place to cause some trouble,
Place to start a fight.

The moon hides within the sky,
Just enough light to see.
These boys, this is their territory,
This place it is there scene.

They prowl like cats of the night,
Hooded figures, concealed memories,
Broken homes to return to,
So angered they become.

Night prowlers of this town,
Have all and nothing to hide,
Night prowlers of this town,
Have no tears to cry.

Finally they find their place,
This wall will be their canvas,
Splashes of unruly color,
It has beauty and it has dark.

Endless times they spend here,
Progressing what they love,
Not forgetting what lies alone,
Behind these hoods of despair.

Street dwellers are frantically run down,
Cuffed up and locked inside,
One moment they will resist,
The next they know to well,
Going inside, means not going home,
A treasure within itself.

Lost and lonely, they'll prowl again,
Until this night is lost.

Night prowlers of this town,
Have all and nothing to hide,
Night prowlers of this town,
Have no tears to cry.
