Faking.

by Helene   Aug 17, 2007

Now your skin touches mine,
And your eye's gazing deep,
But I'm sure they don't see
All the secrets I keep.
If I asked you your thoughts,
I'd get empty replies,
Aren't you tired of faking
Those obvious lies?
Thus I know how you feel,
cause I'm feeling it too,
And I steady recall
What I'm loving in you.
And your lips sweetly kiss me,
I try to return;
But the longer you kiss me,
The longer I burn.
And I'm closing inside
all I ever revealed,
to be safe from your harm
now my secret it sealed.
And your touch and your love
makes it harder to breath,
But as long as I'm faking
I live underneath.
And I dream in my sleep
of the life I don't live,
And awake I'm aware of
the things you can't give.
What of all we have left
is the lies that we tell?
And our shallow surroundings
Believes in them well?

Yours
