Tainted Reflection

by RedClover   Aug 17, 2007

The reflection staring back at her
Is not the person she wants to be
People see her as a perfect child
No complaints, no mistakes
Imperfections are nonexistent
A smile that people crave for
A perfect lie, the one you can`t see through
But the reflection is not her, just an illusion
And all she can see is someone who`s dead
A knife pointed at her neck
A razor blade cutting at her wrists
If only people could see how she really felt
How inside she is slowly dying, the pain choking her
Like a puppet who`s strings are tangled
And as the tainted reflection looks back at her
All she could see was a monster looking back at her
