Before you

Before you I use to love writing, either poems or in a journal
But with you that went by the wayside
Before you I use to visit family and friends always
But with you, you took 99% of that away. You always wanted to control all I did.
Before you I wasn't scared or frightened much
But with you that all changed for I was scared and frightened more & more each day, of what you would say or do.
If you didn't know well yes you frightened me more than I would let you see.
Before you I was easy going and slow to anger and evil thoughts
But with you the anger grew stronger and stronger in me,
plus evil thoughts of what I wanted to happen to you.
I hated those feelings and thoughts, I felt ashamed.
Well I'm glad I finally broke away
Now feeling better an better each day.
Starting to get back all the things that were pushed so far away
There is one more thing to say to you
I pray that you will give your life to God.
