Goodbye Fair

by Aaron Deevers   Aug 18, 2007

I go to the fair
To see whats new
Haven't been here for awhile
I see new and old faces
All around this place
I wonder if old Harper
Brought his pig this year
I do not see him around
I wonder where he is these days
Came to the fair with some friends
Going to a concert tonight
A hillbilly delight some would say
This is the last year for this fair
No more games
No more animals or shows
This is the last one
After fifty years
Been to three of those
I have seen so much
Once a great fair
Ending with less this year
No more fair
No more fun
The county fair is no more
Goodbye fair
Goodbye fair
