I thought of you today, and i could barely keep it in,
a tear, a drop of salty sweetness....that would have
run right on down my chin.

you were my best friend,
who would laugh when i laughed,
and comforted me when i cried
but can you tell me now...
....was it all a lie??!!!

you will never know how many nights
i have cried myself to sleep
over this silly little thing, and how many times
i envy you, knowing that you are smiling.....

we laughed, and we cried, and we made the time fly,
best friends were we, tara and me....
