Tears in the corner

by captured heart   Aug 18, 2007

Sitting in the corner
tears streaming down her face
throwing away all the memories
but the pain she can't erase...

walking hand in hand
her smile she could not hide
what was there to frown about?
she had her baby by her side

things were rocky from the start
but she didn't even think twice
she always gave him what he wanted
she should've followed her friends' advice

now she's sitting in that corner
tears falling from her eyes
thinking of all her memories
she should have realized...

texting late at night
he was a friend of a friend
she just wanted to forget the other one
so we knew how this would end

walking side by side
fake smile on her face
she tried to forget her first
but memories just won't erase

so now she's sitting in her corner
tears spilling...but the last
trashing all her memories
because love just doesn't last
