Murdered At Only Fifteen

by Jenni Marie   Aug 18, 2007

Impatiently waiting for his message to appear
Hoping that this time her meaning was clear
Staring avidly at the dimly lit glowing screen
He's taking so long that she wants to scream

Finally the message arrives, it is here
Reading it, she feels a prickle of fear
'I'm definitely up for it if you are
For together think we could go far'

Excitement rising, as she read the address
Wondering how to fix hair and which dress
Friends and family she didn't feel the need to tell
Because deep in her heart, she expected it to go well

She stepped out the taxi, knocked on his front door
She heard words from inside, 'she's here it's the wh0re'
Quickly the door swung open, she was dragged inside
Fighting back tears, knowing there was nowhere to hide

Staring at the man, nothing like he'd pretended to be
She'd been deliberately lied to, this she could now see
Covering her mouth, so she couldn't make a sound
A few days later, bruised and naked her body was found

Her parent's discovered she'd been talking to someone online
In her diary she'd described his picture as 'totally devine'
She'd clearly had no idea the picture he used was fake
Reading of her last moments in papers, their hearts did break
Swallowing back tears, as they read about the 'man of her dreams'
But that monster had raped and murdered her, and she was only fifteen
