My Final Fall

by Jen   Aug 18, 2007

All of her tears
Her fake smiles and laughs
All of her memories
Where happiness could never last

She couldn't save herself alone
So she asked for some help
They put her in counseling
To try and change how she felt

One medication after another
She's tried so many pills
They're supposed to make her happy
But they can't hide her from herself

She's stuck in this cycle
Of numb feelings again
She can't solve her problem
If she doesn't know where it begins

Laying down
With her eyes shut
She tries to remember a time
When her life wasn't so messed up

If you could hear the thoughts
That drive her insane
Then you'd understand a little more
About her pain

She guards herself from everyone
She has no trust left
She's fallen too deep
To go through everything again

Her life has been fading
She wishes it would end real fast
She's sick of waiting
For one final fall the one that will be her last
