Ice Forest

by NuMbAnDsEnSiTiVe   Aug 19, 2007

Frozen branches scratching my face
Leaving the scars that will not be erased
Ice falling to the ground below
Footsteps crunching in deep snow

Lost with most who'd leave me to freeze
Walking away without an ounce of grief
Tears of ice form in my eyes
Left with the loneliness from deep inside

My heart is cold like the air around me
My soul is frozen like every tree
Through the branches above I see a light
To get to it I will have to fight
