Your imperfection

by Photograph My Memory   Aug 19, 2007

You watch yourself in the mirror
Every night complaining about one more thing
Watching yourself in horror
Each night you think you're far from perfect
Tears falling again
Thinking your defect

Destroying yourself with diet pills
Covering your face with bright makeup
Hoping that all the things your doing doesn't kill
You're only causing pain and despair
Upon yourself

Telling you it's just not fair
Thinking your always going to be less than perfect
Trying to compare
Yourself to those in the magazines
And taking advice
From people who tell you how to be

I guess you'll never know
How beautiful you really are
Tears falling once more
You fall down to your knees
Wanting to be like everyone else

All that you're doing
All that you're saying
All that you're trying to be
This is making you imperfect
This is your imperfection
