Beat up in school
throw around the room
names called daily
She kept saying I'm blessed
This is the life God gave me

No food in the fridge
Her stomach hurt badly
Her stomach was big
They said she ate like a pig daily
I am happy
This is the life God gave me

No guy gave her the time of the day
She liked women anyway
She just hoped someone would notcie her
And save the day
It is okay
This is the life God gave me

Sleep hard to get
Her parents fought and it was her they hit
She had asthma and had to go to the hospital
She got in trouble because she was wheezing
I will live
This is the life God gave me

Her trust in God
The holy spirit kept her going
Her life changed as the years kept flowing
With my trust in God
This is the life God gave me

Out on her own
She lost all her weight
Everyone with her wanted a date
She was the top pick let me say
I have been blessed
This is the life God gave me

Married and divorced a rich man
They are still friends and that's grand
Given to her from him was her home and land
Thank you God

Her friends always needed helping hands
She was the first to volunteer
They loved her and knew she was crazy and a little weird
It is okay

Blessings one after another
God is by her side
He lifts her up when things ain't alright
She lives in happiness with some struggle
But she knows
