Home No More

by Aaron Deevers   Aug 19, 2007

My home is gone
Fire took it away
Everything I own is gone
Gone in no time

Every memory I had
Every one gone
Nothing to have to remember
Remember the ones I have lost

Now I stand here watching
Watch rescue workers put out the fire
Watch as they pull and tear at what was my house

I have nothing to call home
No shelter
All gone with one flame

I sit here now
Crying at what was my home
Crying at my lose

Crying when I see a firefighter come to me
He hands me a picture
A family picture
Mother, father, sister, and 2 little brothers
Plus me in this picture

I look up at the man
I start to cry again
Only survivor of this family
Now I have something to remember them by
I thank him and he nodes and heads back to the fire

I stare at this picture wondering what I will do
I walk away from my home
My home of no longer

This is very sad, I could almost sense the desperation in your word's.
It flowed well, and you choice of word's was good.

    Well done,
    4/5 Elaine.
