Where The Wild Things Are

by Beautiful Chaos   Aug 19, 2007

A forbidden wood,
Where creatures crawl,
Beyond your sight,
Where fear rules all.

Twist and turn,
It's getting dark,
No sense of hope,
To light a spark.

No looking back,
You're on your way,
Into your mind,
Where demons prey.

The darkest corners,
Sharpest edges,
Built in time,
By faulty pledges.

Broken spirit,
Velvet tongue,
All it took,
When you were young.

Trip and fall,
But hear no scream,
You're slowly choking,
On your dream.

Monsters waiting,
Set to leap,
You wish you hadn't,
Gone to sleep.

Inside your head,
A dangerous place,
Constant fear,
You can't erase.

The wildest things,
Hide deep inside,
In every mind,
Far and wide.

A piece that flowed extremely well, bringing one deeper inside! Your choice of words also stands out. Great job!
