Lost in a Sea of Darkness

by Travis   Aug 20, 2007

I'm lost in the Darkness,
A place of vast plains,
Barren, free from life,
Dark skies and no sun.

Fear fills this land,
Where few roam.
And pain tears through,
My body day by day.

I feel so alone,
With no one there at all.
But this was my choice,
To leave the world of light.

I gave my life for them,
So they could live in peace,
And find true purpose.
Better without me anyway.

But man, I miss them.
When I found the Darkness,
I thought it'd be ok.
But I was wrong.

I feel so lost here.
So alone in this world.
It's so cold on these plains.
And I'm lost in this sea of Darkness.

    "I'm lost in the Darkness,

A wonderful opening stanza that really got me interested.

    "I feel so lost here.
    So alone in this world.
It's so cold on these plains.
And I'm lost in this sea of Darkness."

Great descriptions here and in this whole poem, I thought the title was perfect too, really caught my eye. Keep writing, always and forever...
