Darkness

by Aaron Deevers   Aug 20, 2007

Running away
Running from the darkness
Darkness that fear lurks
Lurking it does every corner

I run but it’s always there
Lurking behind me at all times
I am afraid to stop running

What waits for me I do not know
Fear is one but other thing may lurk
I am wearing down so fast

Darkness nipping at my heals
I wearing down fast
Here it comes
Darkness has gotten me
Fear has reeled me in

I have no way to get free
Once peaceful and free
Now trapped and lost
Darkness has won against me

    The flow's a little choppy,and there's some grahmatical error's.
But this poem is pretty good. I like the idea, perhaps you could revise it maybe substitute the repeating word's for other's.

    It's pretty good,
    keep it up,
    Elaine.
