A Night to Remember

by Bre Monique   Aug 20, 2007

The rain pours outside and the fire glows inside
It's dark so she can barely see
But she can feel his arms around her, holding her tight
And she can hear his heartbeat against her ear

He lowers his head so that he can whisper sweet nothings
Ever so softly into her ear
Sweet promises he has every intention of keeping
She smiles with every sweet word
And she tries to take a quick glance into his eyes
But she gets stuck, pulled in with his gaze,
Filled with such a passion she never knew

And they stare for a moment,
Making love with their eyes before he kisses her ever so lightly
And he confirms everything that he whispered with his kiss,
Slow and gentle

Then the kiss becomes more intensified
As he slowly pulls her to the floor with him
She gladly follows, she'd follow him to the end of the world if he asked
His hands roam, his tongue explores, he softly whispers "I love you"

This is the moment she waited for her whole life
All seventeen years of her life, waiting,
Aching to find someone to love her
She kisses his collarbone, his jaw, beneath his ear,
She whispers back "I love you more"

The night continues as the fireplace roars, the rains pours,
And their bodies entwine with each other
Filled with passion, no regrets, no tomorrow,
Together filled as one, everything just feels so right

I like the imagery in this poem. But you have some errors in this piece, some sentences need to have punctuations. Also I think to improve this poem you should work with the structure of it.

Anyway the poem was filled with deep emotions. Good job on writing this one! I look forward in reading more from you.

Thanks for commenting on my poem.
