Lies in your smile

by Chelsey   Aug 20, 2007

Suffocation about to take place
My friend you are face down in the dirt
Buried up to your neck in sadness
I know you shed tears because you're hurt

You say you're not a sinner
But its your smiles that have lied
They pull it off as if you're ok
Clearly, puffy eyes have shown you cried

Let me pull you out of your own grave
I'll brush all the dirt off your clothes
Sometimes we all need that push to come to shove
I'll get you standing back on your own toes

Listen to me my angel
When you feel your gravestone calls
Turn to me and tell me of your sorrows
My arms are long enough to catch your falls

Remember you have a friend with eyes who knows
Whose glasses are pretty plain and clear
That you're lying when you smile
Remember I have two listening ears

Chels I feel you've jumped into my head with this stanza. (Though I know this poem wasn't written for me... lol) Is there something about my A.I.D that I don't know about. Special powers ... of seeing into another person's brain ... lol

Anyways before I ramble on forever ...
Excellent piece Chels and a great read
