Memories flow

by WiNgS Of StEeL   Aug 21, 2007

Magnum blue waters,
Shimmering with hidden secrets
Cascades its way down
Into the mountain side.

Off the waterfall
Down, down, down
Do the memories fall
Into the wasteland below
To where my lost soul calls.

Faceless beings
With Contorted limbs
Chasing after me.
These are memories of failures,
Lost dreams and no hope.

Gasping for air,
Wanting to succeed
The many failures of my past
Pay no heed.

Swimming for the surface
Midnight blue sky up ahead
Leaving behind the memories
That laid dormant in my head.

Helpless now, no way out
Darkness consumes
One last shout!

Don't look down,
Don't look down,
Into the world that lies beneath me.

Cant look down
I'm falling down
Into the memories that are
Calling me sweetly.

I absolutely loved it. The flow was great and the metaphors painted a great story. I love the idea of drowning or fighting against the memories that a person may have and may want to get rid of. I think we all have some of those. Great job and keep it up!
