I saw a stranger

I saw a stranger standing proud
someone special in a crowd

I saw a look across a room
A hint of warmth within the gloom

I looked for hope, maybe a chance
Might even get a second glance

I looked again and there they were
Could I, should I, would I dare

I took the chance, I did to dare
I blinked my eyes tried not to stare

I took the plunge and said hello
And hoped he wouldn't turn and go

He took my hand and led me out
Beyond the crowd away from doubt

He took my heart and soul that night
And led me to a wondrous hight

Together now we are as one
For both of us the doubt is gone

Together now a love we share
And all because we did to dare
