It was many things

by Melissa   Aug 21, 2007

It was the way he smiled
with those eager blue eyes
that tickled my belly
until a fit of giggles
erupted within
and god it felt oddly familiar
yet unmistakably new

It was the way his tongue
embraced mine
with such comfortable ease
that needed not words to define
what poetry in motion truly was,
a poem was writing itself
and we were the scenery

It was the way he said hello
with no hint of goodbye
creeping it's way
to his lovely voice
and how love sounded
from gracious lips
that made me fall so hard
